Anyway, I am starting a new series -‘Currently Loving’ on this website today, wherein I’ll share all the products or things (like books/films/drama/programs) I’m enjoying these days. I am pretty sure you’ll enjoy this series. 🙂

Things I am Currently Loving - August, Part 1:

Let’s start with my favourite topic, which is skincare. So what products I’m currently loving or have been enjoying for a while?

SKINCARE:

Let me tell you, sweet readers, I have been following a minimal skincare routine for the past few months. And honestly, this routine is working great for sensitive combination skin. However, my curious soul gets quickly bored with the same routine/products 😟. Hence, I always try to add some DIY homemade masks and gels to spice up my beauty regimen. I’ll share these DIY beauty recipes in another post. Today, I’ll talk only about the products.

The first product that I’ve been using again since June 2023 (when Summer officially started in the UK) is Pilgrim volcanic lava ash face wash. I got this cleanser a year back. I used it for a few weeks and then kept it aside for the next summer season. I have enough time to use this lovely face wash because it will expire in 2025 😃!

Although I reviewed it on my Instagram profile, I thought I must mention it in my blog post too 😍. It’s such an amazing face wash. Pilgrim volcanic lava ash face wash is a gentle sulfate-free gel face wash that cleanses my skin effectively, leaving it feeling clean, fresh, and supple. Since this contains volcanic lava ash, the colour is almost black! I love it doesn’t dry out my skin. I like its sweet scent too! It claims to reduce breakouts, and I couldn’t agree more! I had two large pimples when I started using it. This face wash reduced the size of those fresh pimples and left my skin totally acne-free within just two days. It works on those zits every darn time 👍🏻!

Another organic moisturiser that works great on my acne-prone, combination-dry skin is the Conscious Skincare gentle night cream. I have been using this heavy-duty moisturiser for the past few months and am totally in love with it. It makes my skin so soft and supple. Recently, I experienced a skin peeling issue (on my forehead and wrist) as I got sunburned 🥵 . Thankfully, this organic night cream healed that issue quickly. I can’t recommend this product enough 😍❤️!

Conscious Skincare Gentle Night Cream

My current favourite lip balm is from the Natural History Museum, London. Yes, I got two lip balms from the museum last year. I am using the ‘Rose Blush Geranium’ lip balm and love its moisturising effect on my lips.

HAIRCARE:

These days I am not experimenting with haircare products that much. I have been using the Beauty Kitchen everyday organic gentle shampoo, and I love it. I already reviewed it on my blog. You can check it out here.

Another product that needs a mention is a lovely rose hair essence spray from the UK’s natural brand, DEW. The lightweight mist sprays evenly on my hair without making it greasy. I love its refreshing and calming aroma and its shine-y effect on my thin and dull hair. You can read it's full review here.

BOOKS:

I always download free ebooks, as I have stopped buying physical books (and souvenirs) because of my home space issues 😟. I might start buying books once I settle down in one place permanently. For now, I am enjoying reading ebooks.

Becoming Bader by T Eldridge

Anyway, currently I am reading ‘Becoming Bader’ by T.K. Eldridge. The story revolves around Bader Winthrop, a sweet lonely girl whose parents died in a house fire. I’ve just finished chapter 9, and I’m already in love with the story! I can’t wait to finish it. Do you want me to review this book later?

DRAMAS/SERIES -

Okay, I am a hardcore fan of Turkish & Korean dramas 😍. I obviously love my Indian dramas, but ever since I watched ‘Day Dreamers’ (Erkenci Kuş), a Turkish series by Can Yaman and Demet Ozdemir in 2020, I fell in love with T-dramas. Similarly, I have been watching Korean dramas since 2012, and I don’t think my love for K-drama will ever end!

Well, currently I’m watching and loving the new Turkish Drama ‘Ruhun Duymaz’ acted by Burcu Özberk and Sükrü Özyildiz. I have watched a couple of Rom-com series by Burcu, and I love this actress. I’ve never watched any show of Sukru, though! Gosh, he is such a brilliant actor! I don’t know why I find his acting style and good looks the same as our handsome Bollywood actor, Siddharth Malhotra 😉. This romantic comedy show is my current favourite, and I highly recommend it.

King The Land and Ruhun Duymaz - dramas

I have also been watching Korean Drama ‘King The Land’ for the past few weeks and totally loving the story and whole cast ❤️. The lead actors (Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah) are just amazing! I enjoy sweet romantic stories, and this show fits the bill!

In both these dramas, the chemistry between the lead actors is simply amazing! Did I tell you I am learning these languages (Korean & Turkish) too 😃?
